The government adopted the draft amendments of the Constitution that result from the Prespa Agreement. The four amendments are very simple and the public should not fear that they will touch the identity, assures Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
The Ohrid Framework Agreement enters the Preamble of the Constitution, as a constitutive element of the state, together with the Krusevo Republic and September 8. In the ASNOM part, on the other hand, the historical decisions are replaced with the proclamation from the Assembly, in which there are no controversial parts for Greece.
A pre-trial judge from the Criminal Court in Skopje rejected the request of former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, with which he requested postponement of the two-year prison sentence in the SPO case “Tank”.
The Association of Journalists of Macedonia decided this year to mark International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists in cooperation with the Minister of Interior and the OSCE Mission in Skopje. The event was dedicated to the promotion of the Handbook for safety of journalists in high risk events.
Macedonia today marked the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, with just one conviction of the total of 54 attacks against journalists in the last five years. CIVIL encourages the institutions, and especially the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue to work in the direction of protecting journalists and media workers. This effort must not stop on one and the only conviction!
