Ahead of the anti-European protests that are scheduled for 7.00 pm on July 12, whose route will also pass by the Old Bazaar, disinformation is being spread on Twitter with an old video from an election campaign of the Alliance for Albanians in 2020.
The Twitter profile Блефер @el_padrino this afternoon posted an old video from the election campaign for parliamentary elections, accompanied with a provocative message. According to CIVIL’s Monitoring Team that immediately responded to this disinformation, it is a matter of deliberately manipulating people’s emotions with the purpose to cause hatred and tensions on an interethnic basis.

Disinformation refers to false information that has the purpose to manipulate, cause harm or mislead people, organizations and countries in the wrong direction. Malicious information is part of disinformation campaigns and refers to information that comes from real information, but is often placed tendentiously and is exaggerated in a way that misleads and causes potential harm, tensions, unrest and violence.
