Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Nikola Dimitrov will take part in a roundtable on EU enlargement policy in Madrid today.
As he said Secretariat for European AffairsBesides Dimitrov, the forum will be attended by the Secretary of State for EU Affairs of Spain, the representative of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as senior representatives of European and foreign affairs from the region. The topic of discussion will be the European perspective of the countries from Western Balkans in terms of the commitments of the current presidency and the prospects for future membership in the Union.
The event is organized by The Royal Elcano Institute, the Bled Strategic Forum, the Embassy of Slovenia in Spain and the Carlos de Amberes Foundation where a session of prominent academic experts in the field is planned.
