Deputy PM for European Affairs Nikola Dimitrov is paying Thursday a working visit to Vienna, for talks with Austrian Minister for the EU and Constitution Karoline Edtstadler and Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg.
The visit, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release, is part of Deputy PM Dimitrov’s tour of EU capitals and encouraged by Austria’s efforts for intensifying the EU enlargement process with Western Balkan countries, as well as its efforts in managing the COVID-19 pandemic and providing assistance based on the principle of solidarity.
Dimitrov, the press release read, is to underline during the visit implementation of reforms, as well as North Macedonia’s strong commitment to overcoming challenges and fulfilling the European agenda, focusing on the outlook for achieving credibility and realizing European prospects by holding the first intergovernmental conference with the EU.
Meetings will also focus on bilateral cooperation with Austria, a committed supporter of North Macedonia, which includes assistance for implementation of reforms in key areas of the European integration process, as well as humanitarian, infrastructure and investment projects, the press release read.
