Deputy PM for European Affairs Nikola Dimitrov will be paying a working visit to Estonia on Friday.
Dimitrov is set to meet with Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, representatives of Estonia’s Parliament (the Riigikogu) – Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Siim Kallas, Chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee, as well as representatives of the office of Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, in charge of European affairs, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
In addition, Dimitrov is to meet with the head of the Estonian Centre for Eastern Partnership, Gert Antsu.
After the recent visits to Vilnius and Riga, Dimitrov’s visit to Tallinn will wrap up his Baltic tour, as a follow-up to a series of visits to EU capitals, important for North Macedonia’s European integration process.
In light of support for a breakthrough on our European path, Dimitrov will convey the message of the need to adopt the negotiating framework and hold the first intergovernmental conference of the country with the EU as soon as possible, the press release adds.
Talks will also focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Estonia, and in particular on the digitalization process. Through concrete expert support, as one of the most successful European countries in terms of digitalization, Dimitrov will discuss transfer of Estonian experience with e-government, as well as digitalization of processes and services for the citizens and the business community, reads the press release.
