Minister of Defense Radmila Shekerinska will have a working meeting with Greece’s Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos. She will also attend the opening of the military technology trade fair DEFEA 21 Defense Exhibition in Athens.
Minister Shekerinska and her Greek counterpart will discuss the plan for bilateral defense cooperation in 2021. It includes seventy activities both in Greece and in North Macedonia, reflecting the spirit of cooperation between the two countries in defense and beyond, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Shekerinska will also meet with Heidi Grant, director of the US Agency for Defense Security Cooperation, which is part of the US Department of Defense. They are expected to talk about the modernization of North Macedonia’s defense and procurement of equipment on a “government-by-government” basis.
The DEFEA 21 Defense Exhibition Athens will take place from July 13-15 and will present the latest developments in land, sea, air and homeland security defense systems. Exhibitors are major companies in the industry that equip most NATO armies, the press release adds.
