“While party structures are dividing, NGOs are uniting. While radical structures and political structures were targeted, NGOs calmed passions, provided housing, medicine, water to displaced persons and refugees,” said Stevche Dechev of the Impact Net Foundation at a panel discussion on CIVIL on “What is the role of civil society organizations in socio-political processes? ”.
“An energetic civil society can challenge those in power by documenting corruption or exposing activities such as killing political enemies. In democracies, this function is mostly performed by the media, NGOs or opposition parties.
Civil society and supra-party unification can and should be the leader that will bring a European perspective for all of us, digitalization and realization of the green agenda…”, said Decevski.
