Zaev: The amendments from VMRO-DPMNE are a dishonest message, and from DUI a serious reason for consideration in SDSM

“The several thousand amendments submitted by VMRO-DPMNE to the laws on the Academy of judges and public prosecutors, on the public prosecutor’s service and on changing the Electoral Code, send out a dishonest message. The amendments of the government coalition partner DUI, on the other hand, are a serious reason for considerations that SDSM will open”, stated today Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

Initiative for single constituency requires withdrawal of the amendments of DUI and VMRO-DPMNE

“The fight is challenging, but we will be persistent. We have progress, because when two days ago the laws were put on the parliamentary agenda and there was voting on the need of the Law on one constituency, as many as 59 MPs voted, while 58 MPs for the Law on open lists at the local and parliamentary elections. As expected, VMRO-DPMNE and DUI voted against, SDSM “for”. Obviously, VMRO-DPMNE and DUI fearing possible adoption of the laws, decided to block them by submitting 6000 amendments. Evidently, they don’t want to leave anything to chance”, said the President of DOM, Maja Moracanin for “Free Press”.

Pendarovski: The Macedonian language is a universal fact and is recognized worldwide

The Macedonian language has been a linguistic fact for decades and this has also been determined at the international level, says the President of State, Stevo Pendarovski, following the opinion of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences that the Macedonian language is just a dialect of the Bulgarian. According to him, it is pointless to be debating this issue, as it is recognized worldwide as part of the group of South Slavic languages.

Redundant workers receive 8.200 denars – as opposed to the humiliation during the time of Gruevski

From SDSM they say they have corrected a decade-long injustice with 12.000 redundant workers receiving 8.200 denars until retirement, as every citizen is important.

“SDSM, through specific and real measures and reforms, is showing what real care for all citizens means. The time of divisions, discriminations and marginalization of citizens ended with VMRO-DPMNE going in opposition”.

The decade-long problem with redundant workers has been resolved, 12.000 redundant workers will be receiving a monthly compensation of about 8.200 denars until their retirement.

FLASH NEWS

“The lawyer of former prime minister and now asylum seeker Nikola Gruevski, abused the Law on Languages”, said Minister of Justice Renata Deskoska in yesterday’s edition of the debate show on TV21 “Click Plus”. The goal, according to Deskoska, is to avoid justice by delaying the court processes.

Mayor of Tetovo Teuta Arifi is not a candidate for Ambassador to Washington, stated Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

The President of the Judicial Council, Kiro Zdravev, considers that the Law on the Use of Languages cannot be implemented in court proceedings and that the remarks of the Venice Commission are correct.

Kezarovski: Respect for human rights reflects the character of the government

Journalist Tomislav Kezarovski at the Freedom Festival spoke about human rights, and at the same time congratulated CIVIL on their 20th anniversary.

“Human rights are the basic criteria that reflect the role of man and citizen in a society. By the way, they are the strongest indicator of the government’s character. The greater they are, the more the government is disabled of abusing them”, said Kezarovski.

OPINION

Bulgarian-Macedonian stupidity, without translation

by: SASO ORDANOSKI

Our, Balkan Academies of Science, mainly exist to strengthen the national mythologies of who is oldest, smartest, cleverest, most successful and, in general, most-most-most in every aspect in the region. When, on the other hand, it concerns two peoples who have such close cultures and histories like the Macedonians and Bulgarians, that nationalist euphoria is usually more politically than scientifically founded.

Decade-long injustice towards redundant workers…

comments: XHABIR DERALLA

On the lawn in front of the Parliament, there were several people standing, squatting and even lying down. Summer, 2014. Among the people on the lawn stood our hero, female fighter for social justice, Lile Redundantie, as we called her. At one point, several police officers came and demanded for the redundant workers to leave. Supposedly, the reason for this was that they weren’t enough for a protest to be held. There were only 17 people.

One policewoman was carrying out the task. She stepped aside and quietly told me that she found the order to drive away the redundant workers that were in front of the Parliament unpleasant. Me too, I replied, I feel concerned and affected, I myself am a son of a redundant worker, which ultimately is the same…
