The death toll in Russia’s missile attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia, which took place on October 6, 2022, has increased to 11. The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Facebook as of October 7, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“At one location, eight civilian bodies were recovered from under the rubble of a residential house. Six people were rescued, and five of them taken to hospital. At the other location, 15 people were rescued, and eight of them taken to hospital,” the report states.
In general, a total of 11 civilians were killed and 21 rescued.
Rescuers continue working at the scene. Forty-five professionals and 12 equipment units of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, as well as five equipment units provided by municipal services, are involved in rescue operations.
