The deadline for applying for the programme for exchange of experiences and knowledge on transition from coal to environmentally friendly energy sources that refers to the Western Balkan countries and Ukraine has been extended until September 30.
The exchange programme is an opportunity for the regions to start direct, one-to-one dialogues, to connect with various stakeholders, to learn from each other and transfer knowledge. It is open for the coal regions in the Western Balkans, Ukraine and the EU, and a large number of different stakeholders are invited to apply, informs the Initiative for coal regions in transition in the Western Balkans and in Ukraine.
The programme is part of the Initiative for Coal Regions that is implemented by the European Commission together with six international institutions – the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the Energy Community Secretariat, Poland’s National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and the College of Europe in Natolin.
