NEWS OF THE DAY: SCPC: Most presidents of basic courts have not submitted assets declarations
The Anti-Corruption Commission at today’s session reviewed 18 cases on presidents of basic courts and after the check made on monitoring the assets situation and conflict of interest, according to the annual work programme, it determined that most of them have not complied to the obligation for submitting assets declarations, and the procedure has been continued for two judges due to collecting additional information.
- A good part of the presidents of courts have not fulfilled their obligation for submitting assets declarations within the legal deadline. The list of presidents who have not fulfilled their obligation, and for whom we will issue orders, to be submitted to the Judicial Council with information separately for the respective judges. The Judicial Council should have this information and use it in monitoring the work of the judges, said Sofka Pejovska Dojcinovska, Vice President of the Anti-Corruption Commission, at the session held through a video conferencing.

Minister of Health Venko Filipce at today’s press conference stated that in the countries in the region it can be noticed that the number of new COVID-19 cases remains at a high level and that it is slightly decreasing, while the number of deaths remains high on a daily basis.
Filipce assessed that a curfew after 9.00 pm will not change anything, since after that it is quite empty anyway. Restaurants and cafes do not work and there is a ban for grouping in public areas.
