NEWS OF THE DAY Searches in the flats of Janakievski and Gruevski
This morning in Prilep a search was carried out on a building owned by former Minister of Transport Mile Janakievski, and in Skopje flats of Nikola Gruevski were searched, upon the order of the public prosecutor.
As the head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption, Vilma Ruskoska, confirmed for “Sloboden Pecat”, the search carried out in Gruevski’s additional property is connected to the case “Plots on Vodno”.
STATEMENT OF THE DAY
Minister of Justice Bojan Maricic today in Brussels met with European Commission Vice President for Values and Transparency Vera Jourova, with whom he spoke about the reforms in North Macedonia, with an emphasis on the judiciary, rule of law, but also about the European integration of the country.

BOYCOT The political party Levica is as if it were in the middle of an election campaign. In addition to the campaign on the social networks, it has already started a field campaign, but this time instead of an election program they are distributing flyers for a boycott of the census, namely, they are calling on citizens not to open their doors. Have they committed a crime? – asked CIVIL the PPO, but there has been no response until the closing of this edition of the daily brief.
BLOCKADES Last night the government appealed to the MPs who were blocking the work of the Parliament to withdraw from that destructive manner of behaving, as by this they are bringing serious damages to the citizens of the state. ALLIANCE NATO Foreign Ministers today at noon started the first session of the two-day meeting in Brussels. This is the first meeting to be held with physical presence of NATO Foreign Ministers since the start of the pandemic, where Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani participated for the first time.
PROPOSAL In the Annual Report on North Macedonia submitted to the European Parliament (EP), which will be on the agenda before MEPs tomorrow and the day after (March 24 and 25, 2021) amendments need to be added that refer to the misbehaviour and provocations made by representatives of Bulgarian authorities. Such a proposal had been made yesterday by MEPs from the Greens and the Socialists, who have submitted the amendments, informed the Bulgarian Agency BGNES.
