– A good discussion with Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi today. It is important that North Macedonia continues to deliver EU reforms. Furthermore, the focus was on the Economic-Investment plan for the Western Balkans – its implementation will be key for post-Covid recovery, wrote EU Commissioner Verhelyi on Twitter.

STATEMENT OF THE DAY Jancev: A more reasonable leadership in VMRO-DPMNE is needed, there is no need for early parliamentary elections
“My ultimate goal is not just to take the party and lead it – I will say today what I said yesterday – the Macedonian people fighting with each other, the expressions mobsters and criminals, I think that all this needs to stop and not be a topic of political parties, but instead there are courts and bodies that should deal with this. I am not for early parliamentary elections. Not in order to protect the government, but to protect the state – the state no longer has capacities and possibilities for holding these early parliamentary elections. What will we achieve with them? Yes, compromise and talks are needed, I am more for a broad coalition after the local elections, with a more reasonable leadership of VMRO-DPMNE. It doesn’t matter who will lead the country, rather that it is transparent and objective”, says Jancev.
