The Croatian embassy to North Macedonia donated Monday laptops, printers, devices and food products to the 11 October residential institution for orphans in Skopje.
The donation was handed over to mark Croatia’s Statehood Day (May 30), said Croatian Ambassador Nives Tiganj adding it was organized in lieu of the annual diplomatic reception.
The move was coordinated in joint action with the Croatian Business Club in Skopje.
“I’m pleased and honored to have been able to do such charitable move, to support the staff and to send a message that these children here are not forgotten,” the Ambassador said.
The donation includes products by eminent Croatian companies that are well-known in North Macedonia.
Thanking the Croatian Ambassador for the donation, the institution’s director Sonja Stamevska said some items of the donation is intended for the center of foster parents, due to be opened as part of the process of deinstitutionalization and opening of small group homes.
“I hope the cooperation will continue to grow to include social institutions in Croatia,” she stated.
