Of the 997 SARS-CoV-2 tests done in North Macedonia’s laboratories over the past 24 hours, 179 came back positive for the airborne virus. Of them, 57 were confirmed reinfections, transmits news agency MIA.
And seven deaths have been added to the country’s official COVID-19 death toll, which has now reached 9,499, health authorities said Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Health citing Institute of Public Health data, there are now 1,300 active SARS-CoV-2 cases nationwide, of which 602 in Skopje. Officially, 175 people recovered from their acute infection.
No deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
Since the start of the pandemic, 9,499 people have died in North Macedonia from SARS-CoV-2.
The country’s laboratories have performed a total of 2,155,071 coronavirus tests, officially logging 341,127 COVID-19 cases and declaring 330,328 recoveries.
