There are 7859 active cases of coronavirus in the country, among which are the newly diagnosed 156 in yesterday’s statistics. Almost half of the total number of active, ie 3691, are in Skopje. There are three-digit numbers in 13 municipalities, and two of them have over 400: Bitola – 484 and Kumanovo – 406.
Most of the 156 newly infected (confirmed by 1309 tests) are from Skopje (91), followed by Kavadarci with 19, Bitola with 13, Prilep and Kumanovo with eight new cases each.
The Ministry of Health announced yesterday about ten dead people, two of whom are 35 and 38 years old. With them, the total number of deaths from KOVID-19 reached 7242.
Since the beginning of the epidemic in our country, 206 KOVID have been diagnosed and 233 patients have been cured, including 191 who were registered in the health bulletin yesterday.
The Ministry of Health said that the coverage with one dose of vaccine for the adult population is 57 percent, and with two doses it covers 46 percent of the citizens over 18 years old.
Regarding the application of vaccines to the entire population, 39 percent were vaccinated, and 37 percent of the population received two doses of vaccine. 43 citizens received the third dose of vaccine.
Due to the spread of the virus, anti-Kid measures are being intensified in countries in the region. New measures came into force yesterday in Slovenia, where the share of positive tests is high at 43,3 percent and there is a large influx of patients in hospitals. The average number of confirmed infections per day for the last week is 2878.
The government has not opted for closure but for measures that include strict control of KOVID certificates, along with an identification document, as well as restrictions on working hours for bars, a ban on discos and nightclubs, a ban on gathering outside the family circle.
With 7335 new cases of KOVID-19 registered in 24 hours, Greece yesterday set a new negative record of newly infected on a daily basis since the beginning of the pandemic.
There is a progressive increase in vaccination dates in the country from people who were not vaccinated until recently after the announcement of new measures for the unvaccinated that came into force on Saturday and after the extensive controls that are carried out. In the period from 1 to 7 November, there were about 149 new appointments scheduled.
“As in most European countries, the situation in Greece continues to deteriorate,” said Greek government spokesman Yannis Ikonomou. The country’s healthcare system is under intense pressure, but the government is not considering full quarantine.
A greater increase in positive cases and hospitalizations is observed in the areas in Northern Greece that have the lowest immunization coverage.
