North Macedonia on Wednesday reported 46 new infections after 3,073 COVID-19 tests as well as 14 deaths, the Health Ministry said citing data of the Public Health Institute collected in the past 24 hours.
In the same time period, a total of 147 people were registered after having recovered from the virus.
Of the 46 infections, Skopje registered 19 and the rest were reported in Radovish, Prilep, Kichevo, Kumanovo, Strumica, Bitola, Gostivar, Negotino, Ohrid, Struga, Gevgelija, and Berovo.
Fourteen people died in the past 24 hours, including 8 in Skopje aged 56-85. Six people died at home and eight patients died in hospitals, said the press release.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 155,117 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 147,190 patients have recovered.
Death toll has reached 5,356.
At the moment, there are 2,571 active cases across the country, of which 1,025 in the capital Skopje.
A total of 782,654 COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far in the country.
