After a lengthy discussion, according to the Government’s PR office in a press release, the Coordination Crisis Headquarters has recommended the Government adopt the proposal by the Commission for Infectious Diseases to lift some restrictions in the country, such as the outdoor mask mandate and working from home or in shifts, as of June 1.
The seven recommendations issued due to the number of new Covid-19 cases dropping include lifting the outdoor mask mandate.
Masks will still be mandatory indoors, on public transit, and wherever distance cannot be maintained.
Also proposed is to reverse the measure of working in shifts and working from home, as one of the preventative measures published in the “Official Gazette” No. 263/20, the release says.
Another recommendation is to lift the restriction of limiting outside gatherings to four people.
Next, it is recommended that outdoor sporting events be allowed to take place in front of viewers occupying up to 30 percent of the seats.
Viewers, however, will need to abide by public health protocols and be seated 1.5-2 meters apart.
In addition, weddings and outdoor celebrations are to be allowed outdoors, with no more than 100 attendees filling up to 50 percent of the venue’s capacity.
Only up to six people may be seated at a table with adequate distance between them. Musicians may be allowed only at weddings, the press release notes.
Restaurants, bars and coffeehouses with outdoor seating may also be allowed to seat six people at a table. As before, they will be allowed to stay open until 11:30 pm.
The midnight to 4 am curfew remains in place until June 15.
