The Assessment Group within the Crisis Management Center (CMC) has proposed extension of the nationwide state of crisis.
“The Government’s Assessment Group on Thursday unanimously decided to put forward a proposal of the Steering Committee for Coordination in the Crisis Management System, to submit a motion to the Parliament for extension of the nationwide state of crisis, for the purpose of protecting the public health amid a COVID-19 pandemic declared by the World Health Organization and for the purpose of preventing its spread that threatens the population’s health,” the CMC said in a press release.
The Assessment Group, headed by CMC director Stojanche Angelov, held Thursday’s session via video conference. The National Security Advisor to the President in addition to the legally designated members of the group, including the heads of the National Security Agency, the Public Security Bureau, the Intelligence Agency, the Military Security and Intelligence Agency, as well as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, the deputy directors of the CMC and the Directorate for Protection and Rescue and the SSO director attended the session.
