CIVIL calls upon political parties to respect the Electoral Code, the Constitution, and the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia. They are urged to observe election silence and contribute to a democratic, lawful, and fair Election Day on May 8, as well as during the voting on May 7.
Citizens expect fair and democratic elections, free from pressure and abuse. Nothing less is acceptable.
Elections reflect the spirit of democracy in a country and are organized for the citizens, not the parties. Therefore, every participant in the election process has a legal and moral obligation to ensure a fair and democratic process.
CIVIL demands that political parties respect democratic principles and encourage their members and supporters to refrain from violating election silence, spreading hate speech, or disseminating disinformation.
Voters have the right to make informed choices.
Media and civil society organizations, especially those involved in election monitoring, play an extremely important, if not decisive role.

The organization maintains communication with all relevant institutions and organizations in the country, as well as with the OSCE/ODIHR mission and other international missions.
