In the run-up to tomorrow’s football match between Northern Macedonia and Kosovo, CIVIL appeals to all fan groups to refrain from spreading hate speech or violence that fan groups have been promoting continuously for years.
CIVIL stands for a society ruled by freedom, equality and justice, a society in which citizens feel safe and have confidence in institutions, where security, freedom of movement and freedom of expression are guaranteed by law and by the efficient functioning of the system.
A society in which certain groups constantly call and commit violence against citizens cannot be healthy. CIVIL calls on the competent institutions to urgently, resolutely and finally deal with and adequately sanction all groups and individuals who spread hatred and call for violence.
