National Coordinator for Strategic Communications Marjan Zabrcanec, lieutenant colonel Aleksandar Iliev, Assistant Professor at the Department of Public International Law, Ljupco Stojkovski, M.Sc, editor of Truthmeter and CriThink, editions of Metamorphosis Foundation, Vladimir Petreski and President of CIVIL, Xhabir Deralla, are speakers at tomorrow’s public event of CIVIL on the topic “Highway with facts, accountability and determination as opposed to the dead-end of dangerous disinformation’. The event will be held at City Park Hotel (next to the Municipality of Center), starting at 11.00 am (Wednesday, June 16). The event will last 60 minutes and will be broadcast live.
How dangerous are disinformation and hate speech to the security and stability of our country? Do the institutions have the capacity to deal with malicious disinformation? How much and in which way can civil society organizations and the media be involved in the protection against hybrid threats? With facts, accountability and determination as opposed to dangerous disinformation… These are some of the questions and topics that will be discussed at CIVIL’s public event
The event will be broadcast live on CIVIL’s Facebook page and video channel, and will be held without an audience. TV crews are allowed to attend the event, with strict compliance to the protocols for protection against COVID-19.
The working language of the event is Macedonian, but all materials will later be available in Macedonian, Albanian and English.
The panel is part of the project “European Perspectives” that CIVIL is implementing with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany from April 1 this year.
