At the same time, CIVIL informs the public that the post-election long-term monitoring is ongoing.
Already in the first days after the parliamentary elections, CIVIL noted multiple cases of threats and pressures in several institutions, while in the institutions at the local level, an increased number of pressures and actions that can be categorized as revanchism are noted.
During the functioning of the technical government, such cases are noted in the Ministry of Interior. The environment in this state institution is such that some of the employees feel insecure, face restrictive measures and threats of dismissal, and in some cases also direct insults and threats.
These conditions are already part of the comprehensive report of CIVIL’s long-term monitoring, which will be published in June.
CIVIL will hold six press conferences, three each in Macedonian and Albanian.
The next press conferences in Macedonian will be held at 5.00 pm and 8.00 pm, and in Albanian at 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm.
CIVIL’s press center will be open to the media during the entire day of the voting, and there will be extraordinary addresses if there is urgent information from the ground.
Both personal presence and virtual participation of the media are welcome. The press conferences will be broadcast live on the organization’s Facebook page and YouTube video channel.
