CIVIL is organizing a panel discussion on “What laws, such elections” on Wednesday, May 12, starting at 1 pm at the Park & Spa Hotel (behind the city stadium) in Skopje. The panel will be attended by prof. Renata Deskoska, the state advisor at the Ministry of Justice, Radica Lazareska Geroska, the executive director of MOST, Darko Aleksov, the president of the association “Inkluziva” Blagica Dimitrovska and the president of CIVIL, Xhabir Deralla. An invitation was also sent to the State Election Commission, for now without response.
CIVIL has been actively involved in the processes related to the reforms in the electoral processes with a focus on the changes in the Electoral Code and the electoral model.
Panel discussion is part of our project “European Perspectives” which CIVIL is implementing with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany from April 1 this year. The project unites several components, one of which is “Local elections, monitoring and reporting; contribution to electoral reform”.
The event will be held without an audience and will be broadcast live on the Facebook page and on the video channel of CIVIL, and then a series of media content will be published on the media platform CIVIL MEDIA, in Macedonian, Albanian and English. Downloading content is welcome under the Creative Commons 4.0 license. The presence of TV crews will be enabled, with a request to strictly adhere to the protocols for protection from COVID-19.
