CIVIL most strongly condemns the explicit hate speech and threats to the life of columnist Branko Trickovski.
Journalist and columnist of Frontline Branko Trickovski has received death threats on Facebook from a certain Darko Mekic, who, as he writes, is offering 10,000 euros for the one who will kill Trickovski.
In regards to a text posted by Trickovski on his Facebook profile, the threatener left the following comment:
“I am offering 10 thousand euros for the one who will put a bullet in your head”.
CIVIL is calling on the responsible authorities to immediately react according to the law.
At the same time, the organization is taking the opportunity to call on the citizens to strongly condemn and to reject the hate speech and threats to life that are regularly appearing on the social networks, and often in the media as well.
