PRESS RELEASE, Skopje, North Macedonia, Sept. 4, 2024
CIVIL vehemently condemns the escalating Russian missile terror targeting civilians in Ukraine. Russian forces have intensified their brutal assault, deliberately hitting civilian areas and causing the deaths of innocent people, including children and women. These heinous acts of terrorism are emblematic of Russia’s unprovoked aggression against a sovereign nation, a desperate attempt to compensate for their battlefield failures by turning their destructive power on unarmed civilians and essential infrastructure.
Despite occupying a seat on the UN Security Council, Russia persists in its campaign of devastation, targeting homes, infrastructure, and indiscriminately killing innocent civilians.
The recent missile attacks underscore the critical need for enhanced support for Ukraine. The country is not only fighting for its own survival but also defending global freedom and democracy.
True peace can only be achieved through justice. Perpetrators of war crimes and genocidal aggression must be held accountable and face the full force of international justice.
CIVIL calls on Western nations to urgently and significantly increase military, financial, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. For over a decade, Ukraine has been at the forefront of defending global freedom, and the highest cost continues to be borne by its innocent children.
Russia has demonstrated itself as a terrorist state. It is imperative to halt Russian missile terror by standing resolutely with Ukraine in every possible manner!
