“In Europe we have this aspiration to come together and to unite and to be stronger and to be independent of the United States and again that is not new and that is an aspiration that is something that is strategic it is something that we want to see but there is a gap between that aspiration and the reality and we should not have any Illusions about how big that gap is“, said Casale at the International Online Conference „Ukraine and the World: Resisting Aggression, Defeating Authoritarianism“.
„I think in Europe we have sometimes taken transatlantic relationship too much for granted and this move away from the solidity of transatlantic relationship from the United States and repiping towards the east is not something new although the current manifestation is indeed deeply shocking and disturbing but it’s this this pivoting is not something is not something new#, said Casale.
