There is still no need to change the model of teaching, and students will further continue to go to school, because they are safe, and this was also confirmed by the Ministry of Health this afternoon in its report, for which this morning we discussed also at the Main Coordination Headquarters, stated Minister of Education and Science Mila Carovska.
– We still do not have internal transmission of Covid-19 in the schools and this is what the competent health authorities say. The number of positive cases daily ranges from 0,01% to 0,03 %, depending on the day, but still we have more than 240 thousand students with physical presence who are in classrooms every day, and these numbers are really low. It is very important for the media and the citizens and all of us who report or have the opportunity to report data, to keep to what the competent institutions say and to consistently convey what is said without spreading panic among citizens, because at the moment that is not necessary. Because an isolation of 25 or 10 students does not mean that everyone is positive to Covid, said Carovska in the news on TV Sitel.
The Minister pointed out that the situation with Covid-19 in the schools is monitored on a daily basis and the Ministry of Education and Science is in continuous coordination and communication with the competent health authorities and with the epidemiological services as well as with the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate that is regularly visiting the schools and confirms consistent compliance to the protection measures.
Carovska said that the education system has been prepared since June with three backup scenarios that would be applied if there is a need to.
