Talks with the Federation of Trade Unions (SSM) continue and as we have reached an agreement on increase of the minimum wage, we will also agree on harmonizing the wage rise, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi said on Wednesday, transmits MIA.
“We will find a solution now, sustainable, with a full methodology for salary growth, so that we don’t come back next year because we have other challenges with the unions. We offer a sustainable and long-term solution that will not make a big difference. And it is not true that wages have not increased,” Bytyqi told Kanal 5 TV.
In regard to inflation, he underlined that it was 10.9 percent until July, adding that we cannot fight the inflation more at this moment because it is imported.
“The opposition knows very well that an import- and export-dependent economy has a hard time fighting inflation, except for the measures that are appropriately implemented in this period and they have given results,” Bytyqi said.
