Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi is paying a visit to Copenhagen on Thursday and Friday, for promotion of investment in the country and talks with the Macedonian business diaspora in Denmark, transmits MIA.
On Thursday, Deputy PM Bytyqi held several bilateral meetings with the management of large Danish companies and successful companies of the country’s diaspora, presenting investment opportunities and discussing strengthening the value chains, as well as their transfer from the Far Eastern countries close to the borders of the European Union, the Government said in a press release.
According to Deputy PM Bytyqi, this will bring increased value added and competitive advantage for the country, as well as the investors, who will not face again the current situation of breaking profit chains, thus disrupting the stability and predictability on the market.
In addition, Bytyqi stressed the country’s commitment to the European integration process, as well as the commitment to increasing regional competitiveness and strengthening value chains, having the entire Western Balkans in mind.
Deputy PM Bytyqi on Thursday also met with Denmark’s State Secretary for Trade and Global Sustainability, Steen Hommel, discussing possibilities to deepen bilateral cooperation and increase promotion of the country as favorable investment destination for Danish companies.
Hommel voiced support and expressed openness to dialogue and further cooperation in bringing the economic interests of the two countries closer, as well as exchange of experience and knowledge in the area of digitalization and knowledge transfer.
