Census data come at the right time and represent a starting point in creating a new vision and a new direction for the country’s development, said Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi on Thursday, news agency MIA informs.
“I see the Census data and results as numbers that we should all work with together. Let’s work for all of our fellow citizens, who have unfortunately left the country over the past 20 years, in creating a better future so they come back. Let’s work for our generations, for our children not to leave. This is, for me, the most important takeaway from the Census,” Deputy PM Bytyqi told reporters.
According to him, the Census has also demonstrated the country’s beauty – its diversity.
“I think there wasn’t a better day to release the Census results after the Macedonian football team played against Portugal. The team is a proof what diversity can achieve,” said Bytyqi.
