President Stevo Pendarovski is set to host a meeting of the leaders of the countries participating in the Brdo-Brijuni Process today, informs News Agency MIA.
The meeting is expected to be attended by the President of Croatia Zoran Milanović and the President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar in the role of co-hosts, as well as by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, Albanian President Bajram Begaj, the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Željko Komšić, Denis Bećirović and Željka Cvijanović, and the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović.
This year’s meeting of the Brdo-Brijuni Process will focus on European integrations, climate change and youth emigration.
The Brdo-Brijuni Process was first held in 2013 upon the joint initiative of the presidents of Slovenia and Croatia.
The main goal of the process is the complete integration of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union, stabilization of the conditions in the region by strengthening regional cooperation, and the solution of open disputes.
The Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders meet at least once a year. 125 representatives of the media, 72 from North Macedonia and 53 from abroad are set to follow the leaders’ meeting which will be held at the “DoubleTree by Hilton” hotel in Skopje.
