The President of the Energy Regulatory Commission, Marko Bislimoski, tonight stated that as a regulatory body they have taken all measures for protection of the electric power system and that the procedure for revoking the licence of “U Power” was initiated after receiving a letter from MEPSO on abuse of energy balance for commercial purposes.
– We are taking measures to protect the electric power system. We decided on such a step after MEPSO sent us a letter and alerted about “U Power”. In August and mid-September, these reserves had been used for commercial needs, said Bislimoski on his guest appearance in the news on TV Sitel.
He pointed out that if the reserves are misused and instead of balancing the system, they are used for commercial purposes, then the electric power sector would be threatened.
The incident in which he was attacked, as he said, will not make him sway him from working solely in accordance with the law.
