Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi during the meeting with members of the Macedonian Banking Association on Thursday said that Budget Law is drafted and published in the Unique National Electronic Registry of Regulations of the Republic of North Macedonia (ENER).
He said that Budget Law is available for public comments before being adopted and added that it is a reform law aligned with several European directives.
The current crisis caused by the COVID-19, according to Besimi, is serious, for which the best indicator are GDP and public debt, whose projections are worse in relation to the financial crisis.
“The good thing is that the financial system is stable, which is a great advantage in coping with COVID-19 crisis. In this period when the other figures have a negative forecast, it is good that dynamics of financial system has still positive sign,” Besimi said.
Members of the Macedonian Banking Association said that the banking sector is stable, with a high level of capitalization and liquidity, and everyone works profitably and announced that they will continue to cooperate with all stakeholders in order to get out of the current crisis.
