Measures incorporated in the fifth set of stimulus measures, including those to support salaries, can be realized within the Budget and the Budget revision in mid-2021, said Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi on Tuesday.

“The revision should be ready in mid-2021 so that the Parliament discusses and adopts it. The budget realization was rather good in the first quarter and there has been improved realization of capital expenditures. We are monitoring economic trends and respond appropriately. The realization of the fifth set will be the same as was the case with the previous four,” Minister Besimi told a press conference.

He added that measures are timely and well targeted, take into account the recommendations from businesses, but also consider the budget impact.

On tax reforms, Besimi said it would be implemented through an inclusive process involving all stakeholders, in order to produce the best tax model.
