Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi said Wednesday natural gas deliveries have not been suspended following the reports that Russia’s Gazprom halted gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland, reports news agency MIA.
Bekteshi told press conference that there is an import of natural gas in our country as country has paid all obligations.
At a press conference, Bekteshi said that all obligations from our side have been fulfilled and the country is importing natural gas.
However, the situation is complex and it is unknown what decision will be made in the coming days. The state has alternative supply options, Bekteshi said.
According to Bekteshi, Bulgaria must not halt gas and the transmission pipeline must function.
He announced that all ministers from the region will hold a meeting in Sofia next week to present the countries’ needs in having a continuous energy supply.
