The price of electricity for households and small consumers will increase to 10 percent. The new price will be announced on December 9, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi told Alsat.

– To be honest, at a closed government session a decision has already been adopted by which ESM will participate in a public tender announced by the universal supplier, in this case, EVN Home. “I can only confirm that the final price according to all the projections that we have made as an energy team within the Government, will not be over 10% for households and citizens,” said Bekteshi.

It is also uncertain whether the citizens will have a cheap electricity tariff during the day after the New Year, Alsat reports. According to the authorities, 100 percent of the required electricity of the Universal Supplier for households will be provided by ESM.
