For the last 5 years I have been an active student of psychotherapy and that helps me understand the things that I did before and that I did naturally, now they are given a theoretical background. When we talk about multiculturalism, non-discrimination, acceptance of diversity, from a psychological point of view we can say that it is a need for contact, said activist Lisa Bauta Shaqiri at the CIVIL public event on “Can we together?”
The need for contact is equated with the need to eat and drink…
In contact with ourselves we will see that we get in touch with different people. We can be different in our being. We react differently to good things and react differently to bad things, and along the way we learn how to accept differences within ourselves at the same time we learn how to accept other people’s differences.
We naturally want to and can live together. In social terms, whatever the basis of diversity, we should live together and that has led us to live in the same space but in parallel. We are divided on a million bases all the time. We need to live together and nurture diversity.
