President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski, after being recalled by the Montenegrin government from the post of honorary consul in Skopje, in a press release extended gratitude for the cooperation and wished Montenegro rapid growth and prosperity, and greater profits for companies.
“Montenegro is an independent and sovereign state, which according to the Constitution is defined as a civil, democratic, environmental, and a state of social justice, based on the rule of law. Although Montenegro’s independence was restored on June 3, it is one of the oldest European countries. From the Latin province of Prevalis, to the medieval state Zeta, to modern Montenegro which is a kind of crossroads of many historical events, peoples and cultures, as well as religions which have left their mark to this day. I’d like to express my deep sense of gratitude to all those with whom I cooperated on this important mission for the businesses of our two countries. I wish Montenegro rapid growth and prosperity, and greater profits for companies,” Azeski says.
The Montenegrin government explained that the move was taken because Azeski has tried to disparage and compromise the highest authorities in Montenegro by presenting his personal remarks and predictions regarding the government’s work, daily Dan reported.
The decision to recall Azeski from the post is reported to have been made at the latest session of the Montenegrin government.
According to the decision signed by the Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, the Interior Ministry has learned that Azeski, in performing his duties as honorary consul, used every opportunity to express doubts about Montenegro’s reputation and the credibility of its bodies.
