Same as the previous time, on the Election Day, April 27, Civil will have an open press center in the GEM club, starting from 7 a.m. until midnight. Press conferences are scheduled for 12, 2, 4, 6, and 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. In addition, there will be a panel discussion at 7 p.m. with invited guests, all expert from various fields.

Macedonia finds itself this year on position 123 on the Media Freedom Index of Reporters without Borders – out of 180 countries worldwide. Macedonia is thereby- besides Montenegro- the only country in the Western Balkans region which is situated in the ‘red zone’ of countries with a ‘difficult Media situation’.

Several thousands of phantom voters having no permanent address in Skopje and holding identification cards registered on various addresses in the centre of the City, are still listed in the electoral register, CIVIL learns.

Citizens from all over have been reporting to CIVIL about various complaints, which mainly have to do with pressures put on them to vote for some of the election attendants.
