Janeva feels no guilt and hopes that her arguments will speed up the investigation for “Racket”
Special Public Prosecutor Katica Janeva this morning arrived in the Prosecutor’s Office for organized crime, where she is giving a statement for the “Racket” case, in which Bojan Jovanovski and Zoran Mileski are suspected of racketeering businessmen. When arriving to the Prosecutor’s Office, Janeva stated that she hopes that with her testimony today she will help for the investigation for the “Racket” case to speed up.
The questioning of Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva in the Prosecutor’s Office ended after four hours, who stated before journalists that she has been called as a witness in the “Racket” case and that she does not feel guilty. In regards to the question whether she knows where the money ended up, Janeva said that this is an investigation and in an investigation information is not shared.
Katica Janeva entered the Prosecutor’s Office accompanied by lawyer Stevan Pavlevski, who is the lawyer of Cvetan Pandeleski, who is one of the suspects in the “Empire” case.
Trial for “TNT” case will resume on August 30
In the Basic Court Skopje, today’s hearing for the “TNT” case of the Special Prosecutor’s Office was postponed for August 30, due to the absence of Judge Ognen Stavrev, who is leading the case and is currently on a sick leave.
The “TNT” case concerns the tearing down of the residential-business complex “Kosmos” of businessman Fijat Canoski, who is in evidence procedure, and at the last hearing witnesses suggested by the defence were heard.
Macedonia and Bulgaria will be strengthening regional cooperation
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, together with Minister of Local Self-Government Goran Milevski, and a government delegation, today hosted a delegation of the Republic of Bulgaria, led by Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Petja Avramova.
At the meeting, which was held in the Government, Prime Minister Zaev highlighted that two years after the signing of the Agreement on friendship, good-neighbourliness and cooperation between North Macedonia and Bulgaria, significant progress has been made in the cooperation between the two countries in several sectors and that the political dialogue has also been strengthened.
