NEWS OF THE DAY: WE’RE GOING TO MARS!
A total of 3.322 people from our country have given their names to be sent to Mars with the NASA mission, by applying through the website of the US space agency.
The mission will be in 2020, whereas the approved names will be put on a microchip that will be installed on the Mars 2020 rover.
INTERROGATION OF RUSTEMI HAS ENDED
Prosecutor Burim Rustemi of the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office, in the capacity of a witness in the “Racket” case, was interrogated today. Rustemi stated that he had been questioned specifically for the case “Postenska Banka”, for which he is the prosecutor.
“I replied to all the questions as to how the ‘Postenska Banka’ investigation had been led. I answered everything they asked me in this prosecution, and I think that my answers will contribute in the direction of having the investigation for the ‘Racket’ case successfully led”, said Rustemi.
In terms of a journalist question about how far along the “Postenska Banka” case is, Rustemi replied that it is almost completed and that soon further activities will be made.
MACEDONIAN UNIVERSITIES ARE NOT ON THE SHANGHAI LIST THIS YEAR AGAIN
The universities of North Macedonia this year again are not on the Shanghai List of the best 1000 universities in the world.
The University of Harvard is in the first place for 17 years in a row of the Academic Ranking of World Universities, Stanford University from the USA is in the second place, and in third place is the British University of Cambridge.
The best Macedonian University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” is at the 1.568th place in the world ranking. At the national level, the Stip University of Goce Delcev is second (3.279 place in the world ranking), third is the SEEU University (3.381), fourth is the State University of Tetovo (4.912), while the Bitola University of St. Clement of Ohrid is fifth (5.697).

The signs on the monuments in the center of Skopje, which were put up yesterday, did not last a single day. This morning it could be noticed that the writings, through which the Hellenic origin was emphasized of the figures represented with the monuments, were broken, peeled off or stolen.

Special Public Prosecutor Katica Janeva claims that she has not issued a search warrant for prosecutor Fatime Fetai and the other prosecutors, and says that it is a matter of a misunderstanding. “It is not true that I have issued such an order, it is a matter of a misunderstanding. I am not in the mood for further conversation”, stated Janeva.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in a post on Facebook announces that there will be an investment cycle of about five billion euros in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Citizens of the Vardar Region, representatives of civil society associations and of the public administration showed great interest in CIVIL’s two-day seminar on transparency and responsibility in the political processes, which was held in Hotel Romantique in the past two days.
At open sessions for the public, special guests who were invited and spoke at the seminar included the President of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) Biljana Ivanovska, the Mayor of the Municipality of Veles, Ace Kocevski, human rights activist and former advisor in the Ministry of Finance, Branimir Jovanovic, as well as Xhabir Deralla, President of CIVIL.
