Today’s day of “ReClaiming Freedom” started in the City Park in Skopje, with an art workshop and presentation of the Citizen’s Charter.
Multimedia artist Miroslav Stojanovik led the workshop, whereas CIVIL’s activists were available for all questions and information regarding the campaign SPEAK! And the Citizen’s Charter. Visitors in the park were informed about the Citizen’s Charter and signed a statement for supporting the global document. Citizens were interested also about CIVIL’s other activities, especially on how they can join the monitoring teams at the upcoming elections.
“Reclaiming Freedom” is part of the three-day global campaign SPEAK!, created as a response to the increasing number of attacks on the basic human rights and freedoms, and the culture of divisions.
SPEAK! is a result of the vision of Civicus – World Alliance for Citizen Participation, and as part of the Civic Space Initiative.
