The Governments of Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria continue with the communication and exchange of ideas as both sides are committed to finding a solution. We are optimistic about the possible solutions that will ensure our European future with full respect for our national identity, government spokesman Dushko Arsovski said Wednesday.
In response to a reporter’s question, following today’s regular press briefing, Arsovski reiterated that there is no new agreement and that identity and language cannot be negotiated.
“The Government is ready to talk and further explain some concerns that have arisen in the Republic of Bulgaria regarding the language, but the red lines remain, i.e. no one has the right to negotiate about the identity and the language,” Arsovski said.
