Starting Monday, health professionals from the Military Medical Center, including 12 doctors and 20 nurses, will start working at COVID centers based in internal clinics, the Health Ministry said in a press release.
The army medical team will provide support to health professionals, who have since the onset of the crisis been committed to treating coronavirus patients, by working at the triage center in charge of admitting patients for hospital treatment.
Since a state of crisis was declared in North Macedonia, Army members have also served to assist police officers as hospital security.
On Friday, the Ministry of Health received via the Defence Ministry a donation of 10,000 rapid COVID-19 tests from the Kingdom of Norway.
Moreover, at the beginning of November, the Army loaned health institutions five ambulances to serve as support in managing the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the press release concluded.
