Today the campaigning has started for the sixth presidential elections, in which Stevo Pendarovski, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova and Blerim Reka will be running to win the trust of the citizens.
Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, candidate of VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition, will start the campaigning in Ohrid. Stevo Pendarovski, candidate of SDSM and the coalition, will start the campaign in Prilep, while Blerim Reka, independent candidate supported by the Alliance for the Albanians and Besa, will start the campaign in Skopje.
The presidential campaign will run until April 19.
In addition to the presidential elections, on April 21 there will also be early local elections in Ohrid, Novo Selo and Debar, in which candidates for mayor of Ohrid are Mihail Trendafilov – Nance from the party Civic Democratic Union, Mitre Milososki from VMRO-DPMNE, Konstantin Georgieski from SDSM, Stevco Stevoski as candidate from the political party Democrats and Xhemal Mena from the “Besa” movement.
Candidates for Novo Selo are Nikola Andonov from SDSM and Nikolco Stoilkov from VMRO-DPMNE.
Two candidates will be running for mayor of Debar, Hekuran Dika as candidate from DUI and Arben Agoli from the Alliance for Albanians, supported by the “Besa” movement.
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in official visit to Skopje
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras tomorrow will be paying an official visit to Skopje, with the issues of the security and economic policy being in the focus of discussions.
“However, there was a political price, because a significant part of the Greek people was and is seriously concerned about this issue. Our responsibility, mine and of Zoran – is to show that our people can only benefit from the path that has opened. Also, our responsibility is to respond to the forces of nationalism, which in today’s world are strengthening and aim towards returning us back in the dark times”, stated Tsipras in an interview for MIA.
The Government and the opposition tomorrow with negotiations on the SPO
The Government and the opposition tomorrow will try to finally agree on the SPO, although tomorrow Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will be visiting North Macedonia for the first time.
The negotiating teams of the government and of VMRO-DPMNE tomorrow at 3.00 pm will again discuss the Law on the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which also determines the fate of the SPO, confirmed from the Ministry of Justice for Plusinfo.
Public Revenue Office to start submitting annual tax returns to citizens
The Public Revenue Office as of today will start submitting the pre-filled annual tax returns to taxpayers for incomes earned in 2018.
The pre-filled annual tax returns will be submitted electronically to the user profiles previously registered by the taxpayers, while the user will receive notification on the email address that a pre-filled annual tax return has been sent, which will need to be confirmed or corrected.
This is the first year citizens will be receiving pre-filled annual tax returns. Up to last year, citizens submitted tax returns to the Public Revenue Office for the incomes earned in the previous year, and with the reform that was implemented last year, the citizens will be receiving the annual tax return electronically.
The Public Revenue Office is supposed to submit the annual tax returns no later than April 30, while the citizens need to correct or confirm them by May 31 this year.

We are the media in the Skopje Bazaar
CIVIL – Center Freedom is organizing an outdoor public event on the topic “Citizens are observing, recording, publishing” in the old Skopje bazaar, in front of the South East European University, on Wednesday, April 3, at 6.00 pm.
CIVIL’s team will be projecting recently awarded materials of citizen journalists within the framework of the Civic Lenses project, and will be available to answer questions of interested citizens about the project and the conditions for participating in the monthly competition cycles in the project.
With music, projections and talks, CIVIL will try to promote citizen journalism, but also explain to citizen journalists how they can help in the election observation at the upcoming presidential elections.
