The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption on Friday at its 43rd session adopted the 2021-2025 national strategy preventing corruption and conflict of interest with an action plan.
It will be forwarded to Parliament, where it should be adopted by MPs.
Four new sectors are included for the first time in the document – environment, physical planning and urbanism, agriculture and sports.
“Full implementation of the national strategy will contribute to strengthening the institutional integrity and control mechanisms of the country,” Biljana Ivanovska, head of the anti-corruption commission, said adding she hoped the document would be adopted as soon as possible.
