“In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the circular economy is totally unknown and precisely because of this we are joining this initiative, we have too many political problems, especially in the post-war period, and this is why we need development in order to slowly become part of the European Union”, says Samir Agic from the Association COD from Jajce, Bosnia and Hercegovina, who participated in the two-day conference of the “Logex” network.

Agic says that the entire Western Balkans need to pay attention to the environment, but also the economy, which should be priorities of the political actors.
“In our country, politicians are not quite enthusiastic about these topics, still, we believe that if we have a sustainable economy with a good production process and profitability, we will be able to convince the young people to stay in the country and develop their own businesses and life at home”, he adds.
