There must be no room for hate speech in our educational, school and political discourse. Social media is flooded not only with untruths, but also with a lot of hatred. A multiethnic state does not have the luxury of tolerating hate speech. Because as with all things, hatred is a word. A multiethnic state does not have the luxury of having textbooks where one ethnicity is considered superior to the other. A multiethnic state does not have the luxury of tolerating intellectuals with rich academic careers who sow fear among the people and impose fascist theses on ethno-nationalist and linguistic supremacy. A multiethnic state cannot allow diversity to be treated as a handicap instead of being universally recognized as a priority, as an essential value of existence in this world.
