Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Merezhko welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to provide Ukraine with massive military support, describing the move as a “win-win” for all parties involved.

“It’s a win-win situation for the United States and for our European partners who will provide us with the necessary military assistance,” Merezhko said in an interview with Times Radio. “In exchange, they will receive newer weapons from the United States. So, it gives us hope — it’s a huge step toward bringing peace closer to Ukraine.”

Merezhko’s remarks come in response to President Trump’s sharp condemnation of Russia’s ongoing attacks on civilian targets and his commitment to send Ukraine advanced weapons systems. Trump’s renewed stance, which includes rallying NATO partners to co-finance the effort, signals a major shift in U.S. policy toward ending the war on Ukraine’s terms.
